CZECHOSLOVAKIA - SURVIVOR OF DEATH AND CONCENTRATION CAMPS.
In 1944 deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he was imprisoned as a slave labourer.
Survived a death march to Mauthausen, to Melk, to Ebensee.
Liberated by the 80th US Infantry division on May 6, 1945.
Came to Quebec City on October 1949.
Received the Simon Wisenthal Award of Valour and Ve’ ahavta Tikkum Olam award for education.
